R642 is a Mersen fuse reducer designed to allow a 400 amp Class R fuse to fit into 600 amp Class R clips for enhanced circuit protection.
This rejection-type fuse reducer supports 400 amperes at 600 volts AC and is UL listed and CSA certified. It enables the use of closer rated time-delay fuses in existing equipment with higher amp clips, improving protection for motors and other loads. The R642 is manufactured in Mexico and is compatible only with Class R fuses and clips.
