The Siemens HF368NR is a heavy duty fusible safety switch rated for 1200 amps at 600 volts AC, designed for reliable disconnection and overcurrent protection in demanding commercial and industrial power distribution applications. Part of the VBII Series, it features a 3-pole, 4-wire configuration with a solid neutral, accepts Class L fuses, and is housed in a NEMA 3R steel enclosure rated for outdoor and wet location installation. The switch is UL Listed to UL 98 and carries a 200kA AIC interrupt rating, making it suitable for service entrance, motor control centers, and main disconnect applications up to 250 hp.

Key features include a quick-make, quick-break operating mechanism with visible blade double-break switching, arc chutes for thermal dissipation, a defeatable dual cover interlock, and a red handle grip designed for hook stick operation. The handle can be padlocked in the off position with up to three padlocks. Mechanical lugs accept copper or aluminum conductors rated 60°C or 75°C and are field-convertible to a wide range of compression connectors. The side-hinged door opens 180° for easier wiring, and generously sized top, bottom, and side gutters meet or exceed NEC wire bending space requirements.
