VT428ST is a 3-phase, 4-pole, 1200A, 240V fusible bolted pressure switch designed for high-amperage industrial applications. This Boltswitch VT428ST features a robust construction with a NEMA 1 enclosure and a 200kA AIC interrupt rating, making it suitable for circuits with high available fault currents. The switch is built with a dead-front design and includes a Quick-Make, Quick-Break operator for safe and reliable operation. The VT428ST utilizes a fusible bolted pressure contact system, providing additional clamping action at both ends of the switch blades when fully closed. The operator mechanism is tease-proof and can positively operate the contacts to the off position without spring assistance. The operating handle provides clear open/closed position indication and can be padlocked in the open position with up to three padlocks. The switch is constructed with formed copper parts for strength and cooler operation, and features pressure taps on terminals for monitoring and control power connections.
