RP6D32A160 is a Cutler Hammer DS series rating plug designed for use with Digitrip RMS and Digitrip OPTIM trip units in low voltage power circuit breakers rated 600 Vac. This component determines the continuous current rating of the circuit breaker and is interlocked with the tripping mechanism to automatically open the breaker when removed, keeping the breaker trip-free during plug removal. The rating plug works in conjunction with microprocessor-based Digitrip RMS trip units that provide true root mean square (RMS) current sensing for proper correlation with thermal characteristics of conductors and equipment. All protection function settings on the trip unit face are expressed as per unit multiples of the rating plug ampere rating. The RP6D32A160 is compatible with both Eaton Cutler-Hammer and various manufacturers' drawout power circuit breakers and must be selected to match the desired continuous current rating, frame rating, and system frequency (50 or 60 Hz).
