EL228 is a 1200 Amp, 240 Volt, 2 Pole fusible bolted pressure switch manufactured by Boltswitch.

This switch features a fusible bolted pressure design with additional clamping action at both ends of the switch blades when fully closed. It includes Quick Make-Quick Break tease proof operators with manual or shunt-trip capability, ensuring positive contact operation without spring assistance. The operating handle clearly indicates open and closed positions and can be padlocked in the open position with provisions for at least three padlocks. The switch is dead front with insulated bars to keep ground potential out of the arcing zone and may include transparent face barriers or optional viewing windows for visible contact inspection. It is UL labeled and suitable for circuits capable of delivering 200,000 RMS symmetrical amperes.
