N74 is an Allen-Bradley Type N thermal overload heater element designed for motor control protection in Bulletin 700 line starters. N74 provides Class 20 protection using eutectic alloy technology for reliable motor overload detection and circuit interruption. This heater element is rated for 78-87 amperes and is compatible with thermal overload relays used in magnetic motor starters and motor control applications. The Type N heater element selection is based on motor nameplate full load current to ensure proper protection between 105 and 125 percent of nameplate ratings depending on temperature conditions at the controller and motor locations.
