N3 is an Allen-Bradley N Series thermal overload heater element designed for use with thermal overload relays, magnetic motor starters, and motor controls. This heater element provides reliable motor protection for applications requiring Class 20 operation. The N3 heater element is compatible with Allen-Bradley Bulletin 700 line starters and is constructed as an eutectic alloy type overload relay. It is suitable for integral horsepower motors and is selected based on the motor's full load current, service factor, and application requirements. The heater element ensures protection between 115 and 125% of the nameplate full load current for higher temperature environments at the controller.
