It provides reliable object detection up to 3 m (9.8 ft) sensing distance using the Perfect Prox optical design, which eliminates the need for precise alignment. The sensor operates on a wide control voltage range of 18–264 V AC or 18–50 V DC, allowing use in both AC and DC control circuits. The -HD suffix denotes Eaton’s heavy-duty construction for harsh industrial environments. It features a rugged thermoplastic housing, IP68/IP69K environmental protection, and NEMA 1, 3, 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12, 13 enclosure ratings. The sensor includes built-in short-circuit, overload, and reverse-polarity protection with solid-state output.
