CAP-2
CAP-2 is a 120VAC capacitor trip device designed for use with Boltswitch shunt trip operators to provide backup tripping capability upon loss of control power.
The CAP-2 capacitor unit switches output from the normal control source to the capacitor upon loss of power, ensuring reliable trip operation. It features a compact panel-mount design with standard hole spacing for easy installation. The device operates at 66 VAC minimum with a coil resistance of 18.3 ohms and remains energized approximately 1/10 second. When used with a control transformer, a minimum 50 VA transformer is recommended.
