BBU38-25K is a medium voltage boric acid expulsion fuse designed for indoor power distribution applications up to 38kV. This K-class (fast) fuse unit provides reliable circuit protection with a 25-ampere rating and 10kA maximum interrupting capacity at 38kV nominal voltage of 34.5kV. BBU38-25K utilizes calibrated silver elements, boric acid interrupting media, and a spring and rod mechanism housed in a fiberglass reinforced resin tube with plated copper contacts. The fuse features visual indication capability through end fittings and accepts optional muffler attachments to limit noise and contamination in indoor equipment installations.
