A480R18R-1 is a Mersen back-up R-Rated medium voltage motor protection fuse designed for short circuit protection of medium voltage motors and motor controllers. This current-limiting fuse features ferrule mounting for standard clips and delivers superior equipment protection with a visual blown-fuse indicator for positive identification. A480R18R-1 specifications include 390 amperes at 4800 volts AC, 64 kA interrupt rating at 5.5 kV AC, and epoxy insulation with silver-plated copper ferrule terminals. The fuse is UL Recognized and must be coordinated with overload relays in combination motor starters as specified by the motor starter manufacturer. Metal embossed catalog number and manufacturing date provide lasting identification. An optional hookeye mounted in the factory is available for non load-break isolation by hookstick on the 4.8 kV model.
