The SM-4 series utilizes precision-drawn silver or pretensioned nickel-chrome current-responsive elements for accurate melting characteristics with only 10% total tolerance in melting current. Fast, positive fault interruption is achieved through high-speed arc elongation in the solid-material-lined bore and efficient deionizing action of gases generated by thermal reaction. The fuse unit is of solderless construction with brazed terminals for durability and consistent performance. SM-4 Power Fuses are manufactured in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 quality standards.
