8458R is a 1/2 inch ball swivel fixture hanger cover by Appleton designed for use with SHC flexible fixture hangers.This heavy-duty hanger cover features a ball type swivel joint permitting 20 degrees of swing from vertical, supporting fixtures up to 50 lbs. It is made of malleable iron and steel with a zinc electroplated and clear chromate finish for corrosion resistance. The cover is suitable for use with threaded rigid metal conduit and IMC, providing protection against wind and vibration damage for HID, fluorescent, and incandescent lighting fixtures.
