509-COB is a NEMA full voltage non-reversing direct online (DOL) motor starter designed for three-phase motor control applications.

This open-type starter features a continuous current rating of 45 amperes with a service limit current rating of 52 amperes. The unit operates at 440/480V 50/60 Hz control voltage and supports line voltage up to 480V 60Hz. It is rated for 25 horsepower at the specified voltage and includes a eutectic alloy overload relay for motor protection. The starter accommodates wire sizes from 14 to 4 AWG with pressure terminals and requires 45 lb-in torque for installation. Maximum circuit closing inrush current peaks at 483 amperes including offset.
