1598HBG is an ABS plastic desktop electronic instrument enclosure by Hammond Manufacturing designed for mounting printed circuit boards.

This enclosure meets IP54 standards for protection and features two sets of vertical 1.5 mm PC board guides molded into the front and rear halves. It includes integral horizontal PC card mounts on Eurocard centers and PC card standoffs requiring #6 x 1/4" screws (not included). Molded from flame retardant ABS plastic with a UL 94 V-0 flammability rating, the enclosure halves are secured with M3 x 0.5" Phillips machine screws threaded into integral brass bushings, making it suitable for applications requiring repetitive assembly and disassembly. The front and rear panels are 1.6 mm brushed aluminum with protective paper on one side. The enclosure is stocked in matte textured black and grey finishes.
